Business partner integration (or B2B Integration) requires the ability to transport and replicate data from one location to another location or application. This data transport must be done in a reliable, robust manner to ensure data integrity and delivery. The Adeptia Integration Suite delivers comprehensive message transport capability, facilitating the secure and timely delivery of business information to cross-functional departments and partner organizations. AIS’ data transport functionality facilitates end-to-end data delivery management through easy configuration and the use of standards-based data protocols. This allows synchronization, aggregation, distribution, replication, and validation of data within organizations and across firewalls.
Basic data transport functionality is included by default in Adeptia’s software. AIS offers powerful data transport functionality that can be configured using a wizard-driven, form-based interface, without writing a single line of code. The product's loosely-coupled architecture allows users to configure these features, creating re-usable "services" which can both receive (sources) and send (targets) data messages. This core functionality can be classified into the following categories:
Adeptia provides easy connectivity for relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, Microsoft Access, Sybase, Netezza and MySQL. It includes common JDBC-based database drivers and enables wizard-driven setup. To enable unparalleled ease-of-use for novice users, SQL queries are automatically generated. Users may set up complex views and joins across multiple database instances. Adeptia allows both "inserts" and "updates" into database tables. Stored Procedures can also be called both to retrieve data as well as to load data into databases.
AIS provides Web Services support for both client and publishing. Web Services client services can be embedded in a process flow to invoke external Web Services. The publishing feature allows a process flow to be exposed as a Web Service that can then be invoked by other Web Service clients. AIS supports both SOAP and RESTful Web Services.
AIS’ data transport module can use any Java Messaging Service (JMS)-based message queue Suite for "publish-subscribe" as well as point-to-point communications. This capability provides guaranteed, asynchronous, and reliable delivery of data. AIS can deliver as well as read data messages from a JMS-based message bus. AIS also allows the configuration of JMS triggers to enable automated execution of process flows upon receipt of messages.
AIS includes support for connecting with many common applications and this feature allows users to configure adapters for bi-directional, real-time connectivity with third-party applications such as SAP, PeopleSoft, SharePoint, JD Edwards, Salesforce etc. for enterprise application integration. The installation and customization of adapters is wizard-driven for ease-of-use.
